The project conforms to the World Bank’s strategy to support health care in the region through increased supply of health services of high quality, materialized into a 500-bed Hospital Center, specially designed for lower income groups. On the other hand it seeks to improve the quality and efficiency standards, facilitating the exchange of knowledge through research and teaching hospital associated with the core.

This urban design is completed by the provision of services, facilities and equipment needed time to implement a socially and environmentally sustainable development. These areas are seen as teachers, welfare, sports, industrial-productive, for local small businesses, parks, plazas and open spaces, etc..
