CASA AVINTIA

back to list

Casa Avintia (Avintia House) is a centre that accommodates families of patients from other regions admitted to public hospitals in Madrid. It is a solidarity project of which we feel very proud of, and has been made possible thanks to the Avintia Foundation and to the generosity of all those who have done their bit: from the benefactors of Avintia Foundation to the Avintia Construction, Touza Architects, Valladares Engineering, and many other companies and professionals who have contributed materials, help, time and enthusiasm to this solidarity project that will improve the lives of the families of these patients. Located in the Valdebebas neighbourhood, close to La Paz and Ramón y Cajal hospitals, the centre will be home to the families of patients, adults and children while their relatives are in the ICU or in the Neonatal Units of public hospitals in the region.

Most of the people come from other Autonomous Communities who, in this way, can be close to their loved ones and be accompanied, having a place to rest. The first phase, which has already been completed, has a module of 10 rooms. The project includes the future construction of two new 10-room modules. In total, 30 rooms. Each of which can accommodate up to 4 people. It is estimated that once all the modules are fully operational, the centre will serve more than 500 families every year. More info link
