3M’s Clients Technical Centre (CTC) is the result of an intensive design process in which, through simple and emphatic spatial design and flexible interior architecture, the building has been designed to be both the container and the contents of the company’s products. It is open plan, showing and displaying its open surfaces and light colours. It is a rational, ordered and modular building that gives access to functional multipurpose spaces inside. It has an outstanding outer appearance, with a formal relevance which, due to its presence, serves as a “brand element” given the degree of visual perception the new building has, both from the road to Barcelona (A2) and from calle Juan Ignacio Luca de Tena.
The bond between the new building and the current corporate headquarters is reinforced, not only due to their connection via the wall-skin-fence joining them, but also due to the relationship between the open spaces of the plot/garden, which can be used as outdoor areas for holding events and product presentations.
