RED HAT is a U.S. multinational software company at the forefront of open source business solutions. In the framework of its unstoppable growth and expansion strategy, it needed to relocate its offices to more representative and larger surroundings. To that end they selected the 17th floor of the emblematic “Torre de Cristal” at Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid. Inside the totally open 550m2 premises, Touza Arquitectos was entrusted with giving the space not only the functionality needed for its open and flexible work environment, but also to produce an image in line with the company’s corporate codes and values: flexibility, openness, creativity, naturalness…

these being some of the qualities the Red Hat teams have and thus the quality that their work spaces should also have. Combining a wide range of colours, both in upholstery as well as in floor coverings, and using the latest generation furniture from Steelcase, a fresh, eclectic image was achieved whilst generating a flexible and open space as well as a series of different corners to break away from any kind of routine, and to serve as areas for reflection, relaxation and co-working… Worthy of mention is the collaboration with Mace as Project Management and the construction company Diadec, both of which were indispensable for the success of the project.
