The project for the restaurant Casa Mandi involved a difficult challenge: converting a small space into an avant-garde, attractive, different, singular restaurant. To do so, it was necessary to escape from what already existed and, accordingly, all resources were committed to highlighting their very absence: transparencies, neutral planes, plays of light, the evanescence of silk cloths and repeated, continuous reflections, seeking a loss of spatial reference, absence of scale and a warm, distinctive atmosphere.

The final result meets these objectives. An area has been created whose reflections suggest what is not there and impregnate the atmosphere with recollections and feelings. The meticulous interior design work achieves a pleasant environment where textures of materials merge boldly in subtle control of matter and space.
